1-Click Answers is a utility that makes you wonder how you ever managed to get on without it. It provides instant tips, via various sources of information, on a given word or phrase in any application on your PC just by Alt-clicking on the word (for phrases, first select the whole phrase). In the first instance, an information bubble opens up to display the definition of the word using Answers' selected information source with the option “More >>” to open up a page in your web browser listing the word or phrase definition from all sources at Answers' disposal. Abbreviations can also be looked up using the tool, usually resulting in a list of possible definitions. For example, "PC" results in six definitions, including the expected “personal computer”. However, page invoked by the “More >>” button lists no less than 161 definitions.

An Answerbar is also provided which docks to the right side of your screen (see picture). Keywords or phrases can be entered here, which opens a browser window giving full definitions from all sources available to Answers.

The tool can also be used as a spell checker, measurement tool or currency converter, and even to check a city’s local weather and time. The full list of lookup capabilities can be listed by selecting the “How do I” option on the right-click menu of the application’s System Tray icon.

Be warned, once you have become accustomed to using this application, you will not be able to work on your PC without it!

Always there. And works in all apps - as long you're connected to the IN.
